Back relishing return to under-pressure Leicester

NEIL BACK believes the pressure is firmly on his former emnployers as he takes his Leeds Carnegie team to Leicester Tigers this weekend in search of their first victory of the season.

Back, who spent 15 years at Welford Road, does not fear his return to the reigning Premiership champions.

"We expect it to be tough every second of the game, it'll be a hard task for us but we'll go there full of belief and confidence knowing we can beat anyone," said Back.

The former England captain, although concentrating on his own team, sees the situation Leicester are in as one his side can take advantage of. The Tigers are seventh in the Aviva Premiership, already six points adrift of pace-setters Northampton Saints.

"Leicester are finding themselves with only one win and in unfamiliar territory and under a lot of pressure," he said.

"They lost a number of key players last year, a lot of experience, a lot of leadership and that's been compounded by a few injuries in key positions."

With pre-season expectations high after a succesful campaign last time around, Leeds need to start picking up points quickly if they are to avoid another relegation battle.

This weekend's trip to Leicester is followed by another difficult game as Carnegie visit second-placed London Irish on October 2.

Back, though, believes Leeds are doing the right things and it is just a matter of time before the results begin to prove that.

"We've talked about what we need to do and it's little tweaks that we believe will get us where we need to be."

In the corresponding fixture last year, Leicester comfortably beat Leeds 39-6.
