Body of missing Molly, 14, found in woods

Police had appealed for help in tracing Molly O’Donovan who had not been seen since leaving her home in Banbury, Oxfordshire, on Monday .

Her body was found in a wooded area near Foscote Rise at 11.40am, according to Thames Valley Police.

A force spokesman said: “The body has now been formally identified as that of missing 14-year-old Molly O’Donovan.

“The death is not believed to be suspicious at this stage and inquiries remain ongoing.”

Police had said it was “out of character” for the teenager to be away from home and out of contact with her family.

A Facebook page has been set up for people to express their condolences.
