Bound to be a Buzz at Bilton’s special evening

Yorkshire Sport Horse Committee are holding a Spring Social next week that is sure to create something of a buzz.

Next Wednesday’s event will be based around ‘an Audience with Team Opposition Buzz’ and take the form of a question and answer session with a panel which includes Nicola Wilson, who rode the horse in the Olympics.

Also featuring on the panel will be Rosemary Search, who bred Opposition Buzz, as well as vet Simon Stirk MRCVS.

The evening – to be staged at Bilton Grange in Bilton in Ainsty – will be hosted by Mary Lofthouse with tickets costing £15 and including a light supper and a glass of wine. The evening starts at 7.30pm with a glass of wine and nibbles. The question and answer session will start at approximately 8pm.

The Yorkshire Area Point-to-Point season continues on Saturday with the Cleveland Hunt Point-to-Point at Morden.

Racing starts with the Hunt Members race at 1.30pm.

Admission prices are £10 per person with a maximum charge of £30.

Looking ahead to the summer, Richmond Equestrian Centre will stage another ex-racehorse bonanza on Saturday, June 15.

The event – the Centre’s second of its kind – is aimed at promoting the retraining of racehorses in the equestrian sphere.

Starting at around 9am, competitions will be staged in show jumping, dressage and showing .
