It will be his first return to the ring since being stabbed in the leg with a machete while on holiday in Tenerife.

Brook won the IBF welterweight title in August 2014 when he beat Shawn Porter by way of a majority points decision.

He was then stabbed in the leg the following month.

Brook, who is unbeaten in 33 fights, was initially due to defend his title last month, but needed that time to recover from the stabbing.

Ultimately, Brook wants a contest with British rival Amir Khan in 2015 and potentially Floyd Mayweather.
