Bradford City v Aldershot Town: Taylor goes for winning home double

League two: BRADFORD CITY return to Valley Parade today with Peter Taylor hoping to enjoy some long overdue home comforts.

Five of the first six games of the new Bantams manager's reign have been away, including the last three outings.

Such a lopsided schedule makes Taylor's record of having won three and lost three a commendable effort, especially as two of the triumphs came at promotion-chasing Rotherham United and Rochdale.

Taylor, whose first Valley Parade game after succeeding Stuart McCall brought a win over Darlington, said: "It has been hard for the players to have five of the last six matches away. Having three on the spin takes it out of you."

If the Bantams do claim back-to-back home wins, it will be the first time since Aldershot lost 5-0 at Valley Parade a year ago just a few days after Macclesfield Town had been beaten.
