Brentford v Doncaster Rovers: Preston link is of no interest to O'Driscoll

DONCASTER Rovers manager Sean Driscoll has played down reports that he is a target for Preston North End.

O'Driscoll was linked with the vacant manager's role at Deepdale following the departure this week of Alan Irvine.

But the Rovers manager, whose side visit Brentford in the third round of the FA Cup, said: "I have got a good job here. I am not touting myself around for anything. I think that is an unprofessional thing to do, so I will get on with the job here."

Former Hull City and Northern Ireland winger Stuart Elliott has been released by Rovers.

Elliott, 31, joined Rovers two years ago but never managed to hold down a regular place and made only nine appearances.

Defender Jason Shackell has extended his loan deal from Wolves until the end of the season.

O'Driscoll admits that he wants to keep the player on a permanent basis but cannot currently afford the current asking price.
