Britain are preparing to take on world in Kentucky

With not too long to go until the Alltech World Equestrian Games in Kentucky (September 25 to October 10), Team GBR has launched an official guide to the Championships.

Britain has a good track record at World Championships. The British Para-equestrian dressage team are world champions, with four riders also being individual champions and Zara Phillips holds the eventing world championship title and the team hold silver.

The British dressage team won silver at last year's European Championships and Laura Bechtolsheimer gained the individual bronze.

Joanne Eccles holds the European Vaulting Championship title.

However, hers is one of the non-Olympic sports that does not receive direct funding for the event via UK Sport.

A variety of fund-raising activities are being organised to support the trip to Kentucky for all the British teams.
