Burton Albion v Bradford City: Bantams chief is aiming to keep loan stars

League two: BRADFORD City are seeking a third successive win which manager Peter Taylor hopes will help persuade Manchester United chief Sir Alex Ferguson to let him keep full-backs Reece Brown and Oliver Gill on loan for another month.

Their initial spell with City ends after today's game at Burton where Lee Hendrie is expected to retain the captaincy after scoring and leading the side to a 3-1 win over Cheltenham last week.

Former Aston Villa star Hendrie is hoping to rebuild his career at City and his former England Under-21 coach Taylor knows that if he continues to impress then higher-placed clubs may be alerted to his availability once his current deal ends in January.

Taylor, who remains bullish about City's chances of climbing away from the lower reaches and into a play-off position, would ideally like Hendrie to sign a deal which will keep him at the club until the end of the season.
