The 24-year-old, who rode the Giro d’Italia for the former Tour de France-winning team this year, has not been named on BMC’s roster for next season.

Blythe has been in talks with fledgling British team NFTO, who have already signed Dean and Russell Downing, with the Rotherham brothers reuniting in a team for the first time since 2006.

Russell joins from German team NetApp Endura while Dean moves from Madison Genesis.

Blythe signed the deal with NFTO in Monaco earlier this week and reunites with his training partner Dean Downing.
