It will be performed at the Broughton Open Air Festival, which runs from Friday until Sunday. The novel, which Anna Sewell wrote in 1877, has been adapted by James Stone from the PEEL production company which is staging the event. The team from PEEL performed ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ at Broughton Hall in 2006. Visitors to the festival will have the chance to meet Black Beauty and some of the cast members in pre-theatre workshops. There are performances on Friday and Saturday evenings and matinees on Saturday and Sunday. PEEL will also be staging Black Beauty at Epsom racecourse over the weekend of July 22-24.
