Confident Hape faces up to some familiar Wallabies

Shontayne Hape insists "nothing less than a win will do" for England against Australia tomorrow.

England staged a rousing second-half comeback against New Zealand last weekend but could not overhaul the All Blacks and slipped to a 26-16 defeat.

Martin Johnson has made it clear to his players that valiant defeats are no longer acceptable in his regime.

And Hape, who will face Australia for the third in his four-cap international career, said: "We need to come out all guns blazing and get this result. Nothing less than a win will do."

Hape made his international debut against the Wallabies in Perth, when England were punished for a slow start and lost the game despite dominating Australia's scrum.

England made up for it a week later in Sydney to draw the series with only their third Test win over the Wallabies on Australian soil.

England's powerful pack were dominant in both games but that nail-biting 21-20 victory was secured on the back of some aggressive defence.

Wallaby playmaker Quade Cooper was virtually marked out of the game by Lewis Moody and Nick Easter, who successfully shut down Australia's creative hub.

When England had the ball they took their chances, with Ben Youngs and Chris Ashton both scoring tries.

Hape wants a repeat all-round performance tomorrow – particularly after England's back division fluffed their attacking lines against the All Blacks.

"A lot of people talk about the game in Sydney where we broke that barrier by landing a big away win. We can draw on that game," said Hape.

"In Australia our forwards dominated and they did well against New Zealand too.

"I know the forwards think they can dominate their pack again,." he added.

"We are facing one of the best back lines in world rugby and we need dominate their backs.

"If we can do that it will go a long way to winning the game," he added.
