Cricket latest: Roses battle underway at last
THE Roses match between Yorkshire and Lancashire at Headingley Carnegie, in the County Championship, has finally got underway.
After day one on Saturday was rained off, Lancashire are batting and have made 75-1 inside the first 20 overs.
Andrew Gale's Yorkshire are currently top of Division One with Lancashire hot on their heels in third place.
To add extra spice to the match, this is the 250th meeting between the two teams.
