Cricket latest: Somerset bite back against Yorkshire

YORKSHIRE were bowled out for 405 on day two of the County Championship match against Somerset at Taunton.

Starting the day on 296-4, they lost five wickets on the second morning before adding just 10 runs after lunch.

Ben Phillips has done the damage, taking 4-76, as well as the crucial catch to claim the wicket of Adam Lyth for 142, off Zander de Bruyn.

At tea, Somerset are 87-2 in reply with Arul Suppiah unbeaten on 24 and de Bruyn 15 not out.

Oliver Hannon-Dalby had Marcus Trescothick trapped lbw for 39 and in-form Steve Patterson had Nick Compton caught behind by Jonathan Bairstow for 5.

Yorkshire are currently second in the County Championship having won three and drawn two of their opening five games.
