Cricket latest: Yorkshire bludgeon Royals

MAN-OF-THE-MATCH Adam Lyth's swashbuckling innings helped Yorkshire to a 104-run victory over Worcestershire in the Friends Provident t20 clash.

Lyth smashed 59 from 24 balls, while Herschelle Gibbs blasted four sixes and a solitary four in his 40 off 25 balls as Yorkshire hit their highest-ever Twenty20 total of 213-7.

It was all too much for the visitors, who were all out for 109 in reply, with more than three overs remaining, handing them their sixth straight loss in the competition.
