YORKSHIRE are 190-5 at tea on day one of their County Championship match against Warwickshire at Headingley.
Gary Ballance is unbeaten on 76 and Andy Hodd undefeated on six in a nip-and-tuck battle in the sunshine at Leeds.
Resuming on 88-2 after lunch, Yorkshire lost their third wicket on 100 when Alex Lees was caught low at first slip by Varun Chopra off Chris Woakes.
Lees made 56 from 109 balls with seven fours - another accomplished effort by the young man hot on the heels of his unbeaten 275 against Derbyshire at Chesterfield.
Adil Rashid was fourth out on 123 in the 43rd over when he attempted to upper-cut a delivery from Boyd Rankin which he succeeded only in edging to wicketkeeper Tim Ambrose.
Ballance added 50 with Azeem Rafiq before the latter fell at 173, caught at second slip by Jeetan Patel off Rikki Clarke for 28.
