BREAKING: Yorkshire facing relegation after draw

YORKSHIRE are staring County Championship relegation in the face after they were forced to settle for a draw against Warwickshire today.

Set 349 to win from 78 overs, Warwickshire had reached 214-3 from 57.2 overs before the match was ended by bad light.

The result leaves Yorkshire second-bottom of Division One with 119 points from 15 games.

They are 14 points short of safety with only one match left, against Somerset at Headingley on Wednesday, while their relegation rivals each have a match in hand.

For Warwickshire, Shivnarine Chanderpaul finished unbeaten on 56, while Jim Troughton ended undefeated on 62.
