Cobb helps Treeton coast to eighth crown

They replied with 231-5 thanks to Neil Longhurst’s 69 and Castle’s 43.

Elsecar, in third place, entertained Coal Aston, who laid down a 203 challenge, thanks to opener Liam Johnson cracking 20 fours in his knock of 103.

Andy Ivill bagged 5-56 and Jason Meadows 3-40 for Elsecar, who failed with the bat and fell for 145, James Fell hitting 43 as Reece Shutt took 5-81 and Laurence Browse 3-38.

Hallam toppled Tickhill for 102, with three cheap wickets each for Humphrey Emery and Mark Williams, and eased to a nine-wicket win, opener Vaidik Raj making 46.

Whiston contained hosts Norton Oakes to 204, Dave Revill scoring 59 and Alex Hibbert 45 as youngster Tom Bolland took 4-44.

Whiston took a maximum with their 205-2 reply, Steve Taylor blasting 18 fours in his 102 and Joe Fletcher chipping in with a half-century.

Wath set a target of 172-8 but Aston Hall knocked off the runs for just one wicket down, Matt Cartwright hitting 86 and junior Jack Simmonite 39 not out.

Division One Conisbrough made 308-2 at home to Wath, opener James Duran slamming 136, including 17 boundaries.
