CricketTalk Podcast – Saluting England’s winning start to Testing 2021 and the year ahead for Yorkshire CCC

AFTER getting their 2021 off to a perfect start with a 2-0 series win in Sri Lanka, England’s Test cricketers are already starting preparations for perhaps their biggest challenge of the year in the four-match series that follows in India.

Chris Waters, The Yorkshire Post’s cricket writer, joins host Phil Harrison to discuss the series in Sri Lanka, as well as look ahead to a frantic few months of five-day action for Joe Root and his players which also brings home series against world No 1 New Zealand and India. That is all before what for many English cricket fans will be the main show, of course, as England head Down Under at the end of the year to try and regain the Ashes.

We also cast an eye over the past 12 months to reflect how the sport has coped with the coronavirus pandemic, while also looking ahead to what we can expect from Yorkshire in the 2021 domestic campaign.
