The club are moving towards a sell-out situation on tomorrow’s opening day and also for the Saturday play.

Around 9,000 tickets have so far been sold for day three, while there is still plenty of availability for the rest of the match.

Prices on day four have been slashed to £15 adults and £5 juniors.

“We’re delighted with the way the ticket sales are going,” said a club spokesman.

“We’re well ahead of where we were at this stage for each of the last two Headingley Tests and would encourage anyone looking to buy tickets for the first two days to do so quickly.”

Ticket can be bought online via yorkshireccc.com/testmatch; by calling 0843 5043099, or from the ticket office on St Michael’s Lane or the turnstiles on the day.
