Eric Austin scored 150 and Gary Fellows 125 as the pair shared an opening 240-run standto enable holders Wrenthorpe to coast through to the Heavy Woollen Cup second round by trouncing Delph and Dobcross by 257 runs.

Simon Widdup made 59 and Matthew Wilson hit a fine 56 as the pair put on 91 for Barnsley to overhaul Huddersfield League side Scholes's total of 191, in which Australian Luke Bird struck eight sixes in aninnings of 76 off just 47 balls.

An unbroken 118-run stand between David Meiring (90no) and Jordan Anderson (39no) steered Wakefield Thornes to a seven-wicket win against Wakefield St Michael's.

Matthew Wood hit an undefeated 122 in Kirkburton's eight-wicket success over Morley and Andrew Gorrod (101) led Gomersal to victory against last season's beaten finalists Baildon.

Andrew Robertson (61no) and Saif Malik (5-13) were Yeadon's match winners against Liversedge.

Paul Carroll (127no) and Gary Wainwright (57no) shared an unbroken 187-run partnership as Buttershaw St Paul's beat Jer Lane by nine wickets.
