Inglis continues to show class for Pool

Josh Inglis always showed promise in the Pool youth set up but after three years living in Australia, the teenager has returned looking like the finished article.

He followed up a solid 81 against Burley in the opening game with a match-winning 146 in 118 balls as Pool beat Follifoot to be one of only two top-flight sides with a perfect start to the campaign.

Inglis smashed 18 fours and five sixes in his century and with Nial Colman weighing in with 46, Pool set a 238 target. Follifoot’s hopes of chasing that down faded when they lost three wickets at 80 and even a battling knock from Jonathan Ross (53no) couldn’t swing things their way.
