Jacklin and Hughes among wickets again

Two of the league's most consistent bowlers inspired their sides to victory and took their personal tally for the season past the 60-wicket mark.

Toby Jacklin followed up a half-century with a spell of 4-78 to reach 63 for the campaign as Collingham took four points off Green Lane and climbed above them to third in Division One.

A return of 7-46 from Bernard Hughes took him to 65 victims and helped Olicanian bowl out Silsden for 94 and keep them in the Division Two promotion race.

Top-flight leaders Burley were set 237-8 by Kirkstall Educational with Jos Siddall hitting 76 but Charley Davy replied with 88 and Ryan Cooper smashed an unbeaten 105 to ease the visitors to an eight-wicket victory.

That keeps them seven points clear of Beckwithshaw, who only had to chase 127 at Guiseley but found themselves at 34-5 before Ben Quick (49) and Stuart Hudson (39no) salvaged the win.

Rawdon eased further away from the relegation zone, Mark Stringer hitting 14 boundaries in his 104 not out as they picked up five points off Thackley.

Just below them, Pool eased their concerns with a win over fellow strugglers Adel, Sam Wilkinson (6-22) helping to skittle the visitors for 111 before Willis Bolton (53no) and Brad Loveluck (39no) saw them home.

Bottom club North Leeds lost at Otley despite Steve Wiles (5-55) and Barry Singleton (5-45) restricting the home side to 144. With Ben Lister returning 5-15, the visitors only managed 66.

The shock of the day came at Bolton Villas where Mike Oldfield (7-78) was the 10-run hero as runaway Division Two leaders Bilton suffered their first defeat since May 8. Bilton's Andy Walker, dropped on eight, hit 90.

Despite the efforts of Anker Sondhi (5-73) and Alex Ledger (4-42), who restricted Follifoot to 171-9, the second-placed side picked up five points by keeping Illingworth to 124-7.

A 135-run stand between James Roper (109) and Jeremy Batty (40) saw Harden to 209-7 before Philip Leng (6-62) and Richard Wear (4-19) skittled Calverley for 94 to keep Harden in the hunt.

Chasing Knaresborough's 227-6, which included 94 from Adam Pryor and 52 from Richard Geary, Neil Spragg hit 84 as Steeton moved to within 19 of victory with one over left. They started with a six but then were thwarted and had to settle for the draw.
