Khalid inspires as Mills hit back to tie

Undercliffe’s last two wickets fell with the scores level as they featured in the season’s first tie, against Manningham Mills.

Yorkshire fast bowler Moin Ashraf was run out, then last man Kurtis Whippey was caught behind off overseas player Imran Khalid.

Khalid had earlier top scored with 58 to rescue Mills from 9-3, but a total of 132 did not seem enough until Undercliffe collapsed to 88-7 as Zeeshan Qasim (5-37) struck. Nawaz Sardar (32) and Tom Hudson (20no) looked to have revived their side’s victory hopes until Mills hit back to force the tie.
