McCarthy is closing in on 1,000 victims

Veteran seam bowler Richard McCarthy took seven wickets for six runs as title-chasing Bradford & Bingley skittled East Bierley for 33.

He was backed up by James Davies (3-21) as East Bierley lost all 10 in 22.4 overs. Bradford & Bingley took just five overs to secure a nine-wicket win which keeps the in third place.

Woodlands are the new leaders of Division One after left-arm spinner Chris Brice took 7-37 as they defeated Yeadon by 42 runs. Pudsey St Lawrence have the same points total but Woodlands have won a game more.

Woodlands slumped to 30-6 but the experienced Nicky Rushworth revived them with an undefeated 50 as they made 160-9 against Andrew Robertson (4-41) and Mahmood Rasool (3-35).

Yeadon were bowled out for 118 with Damon Gormley (49) the only batsman to shine.

Another bowler to take seven wickets was the aptly named Gary Severn of Pudsey St Lawrence. He took 7-35 in the seven-wicket win over Baildon.

Despite losing two early wickets, the Saints cruised past Baildon's 143 with captain James Smith (69) and Gareth Clough (39no) leading the way.

Adam Patel made an unbeaten 108 as Pudsey Congs moved up to fourth with a 93-run over Undercliffe. Thanks to Patel, Congs made 209-6 before dismissing Undercliffe for 116.

Bottom-team Bankfoot registered their first win thanks to an unbeaten 117 from opener Andrew Duckworth. He dominated his side's 182, hitting four sixes and 14 fours to set up the 56-run win over Saltaire. Left-arm spinner Andrew Deegan took 6-26 as Saltaire fell for 126.

Lightcliffe's Chris Taylor became the first batsman to reach 1,000 league runs this season as he made his fifth league century in the Division Two promotion chasers' 31-run win over Morley.

The former Yorkshire and Derbyshire player made 100 to take his tally of runs to 1,002 as Lightcliffe made 229-5 before bowling out Morley for 198.

Taylor's former Yorkshire colleague Mark Lawson took 6-24 as leaders Hanging Heaton beat Idle by 106 runs.
