Now it’s official: Yorkshire are relegated
Yorkshire’s poor campaign was brought to a close with a morale-boosting six-wicket win over Somerset at Headingley on Saturday, but it was not enough to fend off relegation to the second division.
Their fate was confirmed this afternoon as Worcestershire registered a bowling bonus point by taking three wickets against Durham at Chester-le-Street.

Hide AdThe point drew Worcestershire level with Yorkshire but was sufficient to ensure their survival by dint of having won more matches.
Worcestershire’s place among the elite was sealed when Will Smith was removed by Kemar Roach in the 47th over to leave Durham 146 for three.
