The visitors had been looking to build on their overnight 48 for three, a lead of 130 despite Tim Bresnan’s figures of three for nine, but miserable conditions in Leeds put paid to that and the game was abandoned less than 20 minutes after the scheduled start.

Lancashire’s first-innings 325 helped them to 11 LV= Championship points from the fixture, to Yorkshire’s nine. For both teams, it was their third draw in six Division One games this season.
