Wrenthorpe, who are unbeaten in all competitions this season, are now on course for a trophy treble.

They are strong favourites to win the CYL's Premier Division championship and they are also due to play Methley in the Jack Hampshire Trophy final on August 15.

Eric Austin (66) and David Paynter (53) put on 106 for the second wicket to provide the foundation for Wrenthorpe's total.

After Austin and Paynter were dismissed in quick succession, Wrenthorpe slumped from 152-1 to 197-5 before Luke Patel, Barry McCormick and Joe Ellis added valuable runs as the Wakefield side scored 100 off the final 10 overs.

Patel hit 31, McCormick hammered three sixes and four fours in a rapid 41 and Ellis smashed an unbeaten 24 off nine balls.

Mark Lawson was Hanging Heaton's best bowler, taking 3-31.

Hanging Heaton's reply was soon in trouble as they collapsed to 34-5.

James Stansfield (22) tried to hold the innings together but his efforts were in vain and they were all out in the 27th over after losing their last four wickets for 18 runs.

Tom Glover had figures of 4-54 from 10 overs and captain Gary Fellows (3-5), Ellis (2-22) and Neil Gill (1-17) were Wrenthorpe's other wicket-takers.

Waddilove Cup: Burley won the Waddilove Cup for the seventh time, beating Bilton by six wickets at Rawdon and keeping alive their hopes of a league and cup double.

Man of the match Jason Wright (3-22) set the league leaders on their way, picking up Bilton's top three batsmen with only 29 on the board.

Bilton's middle order staged something of a rally, with Chris Dawson hitting 25, number seven batsman Clyde Williams top scoring with 33, and Simon Clemerson unbeaten on 21, but the Second Division side could only manage a total of 162.

Wright (26) and David Brook (40) led the Burley reply with Nick Brook (31no) and Harrison (24no) seeing them home.
