ROUND UP: Roaring Bopara still ignored by selectors

Lions: Ravi Bopara's 168 overpowered West Indies A at Worcester yesterday – but came too late to influence the selectors before the announcement of the NatWest Series squad to face Bangladesh

Bopara's Lions colleagues Ian Bell and Jonathan Trott were both named in the 13 to take on the Tigers in three one-day internationals, starting at Trent Bridge on Thursday.

There was no place for Bopara, who nonetheless demonstrated yesterday he is at the top of his game – hitting 23 fours and two sixes from 140 balls in a Lions total of 345 all out, on the way to their third successive triangular-tournament victory.
