Scarborough latest: Yorkshire heading towards Sussex draw

YORKSHIRE’s County Championship match against Sussex at Scarborough is meandering to a draw, writes Chris Waters.

At tea on day four, the home side are 76-0 in their second innings, requiring a notional 268 more runs to win the game with one session remaining.

Jacques Rudolph is unbeaten on 46 and Joe Sayers undefeated on 26 after Sussex declared their second innings on 333-6, leaving Yorkshire to make 344 from 51 overs.

After lunch, Sussex captain Michael Yardy went on to 122 (his second century of the game), while James Anyon scored a career-best 53.

Yorkshire leg-spinner Adil Rashid took 4-121 from 31 overs.
