Scarborough latest: Yorkshire in innings victory

YORKSHIRE clinched victory on the final day of their County Championship match against Leicestershire at Scarborough.

At lunch the visitors are 191-5, a deficit of 140, after Yorkshire claimed two wickets during the morning session.

After Leicestershire resumed on 102-3, Yorkshire needed an hour to claim wicket No.4.

Josh Cobb walked in front of one from Steve Patterson and was lbw for 69, ending a stand of 128 in 49 overs with Matthew Boyce.

Tim Bresnan then bowled Ned Eckersley off his pads for four to leave Leicestershire 149-5.

But Wayne White (20) and Boyce (82) are still there at the break as Yorkshire chase their first win of the season.

The visitors were evtually all out for 309, giving Yorkshire an innings victory.

Patterson was the hero with the ball, taking five wickets.
