Teenagers sparkle as Rawdon maintain run

Two promising teenagers showed their paces in a high-scoring match that ended with rejuvenated Rawdon taking four points of Otley.

Rawdon's 14-year-old opener Calum Goldthorp cracked 61 and with half-centuries from Jamie Pickering, Nial Colman and Duncan Stow, and an unbeaten 43 from Andrew Doidge, they set a formidable 299-5 target.

Otley were always just off the pace but 82 from captain Matt O'Grady and an unbeaten 97 from teenager Josh Atkinson saw them reach 248-3.

There was more big hitting as second in the table Green Lane notched their sixth win in the last seven starts, overcoming fourth-placed Kirkstall Educational by five wickets. Steve Harrison hit a century in Kirkstall's 280-5 but Joe Pleasance (100no) saw the visitors home.

That takes them to within three points of leaders Burley, who could only pick up two points at Beckwithshaw. Pip Waters (86) and Ben Quick (71) were in form for the home side with Mark Harrison (74) and Ryan Cooper (64) leading Burley's reply.

John Swain (88) and Toby Jacklin (67) helped Collingham set a target of 265-7 but despite a five-wicket spell from Jacklin, it was just not enough. Lee Gordon (104) ensured North Leeds picked up their first points since 1 May.

Leon Harber (44) top scored as Thackley took four points off Adel, while 63 from David Murphy gave Pool a win at Guiseley.

There was another run feast in Division Two with Elias Karageorgiou (121no) and Jonathan Corcoran (84no) seeing Knaresborough to 231-3 only for Luke Waters (140no) and Fawad Maqsood (52no) to clinch a nine-wicket win for Tong Park Esholt.

An unbeaten half-century from Chris Dawson and 3-5 spell from Andy Walker clinched a comfortable win over Calverley that keeps Bilton top of the table ahead of Harden who beat Steeton, despite a 5-30 spell from Gary Boulton.

James Ford's 57 not out was the highlight of Follifoot's win over Upper Wharfedale that lifted them to third while Cory Jacobs' sixth four or better spell of the season saw Silsden take four points at Illingworth.

Steve Shuttleworth (71no) and Lee Margerison (61) starred as Bolton Villas took four points off Olicanian.
