Three in a row for in-form Barwick

WETHERBY: Barwick in Elmet climbed to third in Division One with their third-successive league win.

They beat East Keswick by 10 wickets in the top-flight's only completed match.

Rob Nicholls (4-37) and David Ellis (4-9) skittled bottom side East Keswick for 67.

Opener Nick Swales hit 12 boundaries in a rapid unbeaten 53 as Barwick knocked off the runs in eight overs.

Barwick are two points behind joint-leaders Scarcroft and Old Modernians.

Damian Aston (26no) and Mark Gregson (21no) led Scarcroft to 51-1 off 15 overs at Shadwell before play was washed out in the only other Division One match that started.

Church Fenton increased their lead to eight points in Division Two by beating lowly Kippax by three wickets in a 40-over game.

Ishmail Haji (41), Makbul Mulla (40), captain Richard Grogan (39) and youngster Adam Hanson (35no) led the way as unbeaten Fenton overhauled Kippax's

228-6 with one over to spare.

Zak Wheatley (66no) and David Illingworth (45) led Kippax's scoring.
