Champions Woodhouse Grange had a comfortable seven-wicket win at Stamford Bridge whom they beat by seven wickets.

Bridge's 153 all out included 27 from Dave Chaplin and 25 by Roddy Vann as Tom Quinn took 5-43 and new recruit Jake Murphy claimed 3-28. Grange's reply was spearheaded by Nick Hadfield, who made an unbeaten 67 with support coming from Jon Bean (31) and Andy Bilton (40).

Ashley Hulme marked his return to Goole after a sojourn in the Yorkshire League with York by making 77 when his side batted first against Thirsk. With Anthony Gibbins making 56, Goole reached 192 before being dismissed with 11 balls remaining. There were four wickets apiece for Thirsk youngsters Ryan McKendry

(4-66) and Stuart Christon (4-48). Veteran Des Wyrill came up trumps with a knock of 60 and McKendry contributed 28 before and unbeaten 27 by Mark Cook clinched a six-wicket win with nine deliveries to spare.

Pace-setting Sessay's run of victories was halted at Acomb but they were still able to bag 25 points by gaining the better of a draw. Matthew Till hit a pivotal 92 to help his side reach 196-9 as Simon Brown (4-42) and scott Nicholls (3-54) posed problems. In reply, Andy Green made 46, Joe Burton 31 and Scott Nicholls (27) but Richard Till, with 3-59, and Steve Langstaff's 3-48 pinned the hosts to 155-7.

At Easingwold, Dunningon came chased 218-7 and Collis King cracked 122 before falling with just two required for victory. His partner in a 217-run stand was fellow West Indian Harwood Williams, who made an unbeaten 86.

Two teams enjoying their first season in the Premier Division met at Studley Royal where the home side had much the better of a draw after being unable to claim the final Fenner wicket in the last over. Studley captain Steve Walmsley led the way with 87. Charlie Scatchard and Gary Blackburn each made 52 allied with 26 by Rob Nicholson saw the Ripon side amass 273-6 despite a 4-82 return by Steve Sergeant.

Fenner struggled to 105-9 with Pete Shally making 47 and Dom Rhodes (39).

Ripon's Peter Squires made 65 as his side posted 179-9 at Londesbrough Park, who were led to a six-wicket victory against the bottom side by John Williamson's 73.

A century by Mark Shepherd, who made 107, enabled Pickering to overhaul York's 252-9 for the loss of five wickets.

Junior spinner Andrew Simpson took 4-46 in an unsuccessful attempt to swing the game in York's favour.

Whitkirk's renaissance continued when they defeated Pocklington by 50 runs, captain Mark Murphy making 113 of 269-6.
