White leaves Yorkshire

CRAIG WHITE has ended his long-standing association with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

The former Yorkshire and England all-rounder has decided not to reapply for his job as first-team coach at Headingley Carnegie.

White, 41, had two years in the role working under director of professional cricket Martyn Moxon.

But he will not be part of a coaching reshuffle currently taking place at Yorkshire, which has seen all five coaches below Moxon invited to reapply for their positions.

White first played for Yorkshire in 1990 and went on to captain the side before retiring as a player in 2007.

He then spent some time away from the club before returning to the newly-created role of first-team coach.
