Division One teams Woodkirk, Carlton and Hunslet Nelson pulled off upsets in the Central Yorkshire League's Jack Hampshire Trophy first round by knocking out Premier Division opponents.

Ashish Rana bagged 4-30 and Altaf Patel 3-27 as Batley were restricted to 168-9, chasing Woodkirk's 271-4 that featured an unbeaten 113 off 88 balls by Mustak Navsarka and 71 from Rana.

Dale Woolsey (50), Chris Kippax (30) and Gary Close (6-43) led Carlton to a 23-run win over Altofts whose defeat was hard on all-rounder Jordan Sleightholme (61 and 3-19).

Hunslet Nelson's Phil D'Arcy (4-14) and Derrick Hammill (3-24) skittled Ossett for 124, replying to 194.

Northowram Fields coasted to a six-wicket win at East Leeds who were routed for 76 by Ben Burkill (3-27), Nadim Hussain (2-10), Mathew Rushworth (2-10) and Brad Hauenstein (2-19).

Mirfield Parish Cavaliers, Liversedge, Buttershaw St Paul's, Wakefield Thornes, Birstall and Wakefield St Michael's also reached the second round.
