Yorkshire CCC allow their promising all-rounder to join Derbyshire on loan
The 22-year-old will stay at the club for the rest of the season, but he will be ineligible to play against Yorkshire in the Bob Willis Trophy.
The teams meet at Headingley from August 15 in Yorkshire’s first home game of the season.

Hide AdMartyn Moxon, the Yorkshire director of cricket, said: “We believe that this is a good opportunity for Ed to get some first-team experience under his belt.
“There is a lot of competition for places in the Yorkshire squad at the moment, so this will give Ed a great chance to play first-class and T20 cricket this summer.”
Yorkshire have the option to recall Barnes if required.
