Yorkshire CCC’s Tom Kohler-Cadmore hoping to put himself in shop window in Abu Dhabi T10

Kohler-Cadmore is one of three Yorkshire players taking part in the 10-over-a-side tournament that starts today, along with his opening batting partner at Headingley, Adam Lyth, and the club’s teenage left-arm spinner Sam Wisniewski.

While Lyth’s Delhi Bulls team play Bangla Tigers this afternoon, Kohler-Cadmore – pictured above on England Lions duty last year – and Wisniewski are part of the Pune Devils set-up which also starts today against Qalandars.

And Kohler-Cadmore hopes it can be the platform for him to feature in the likes of the Big Bash and IPL.

“I actually think T10 cricket puts your skills under even more pressure than T20 does,” said the 26-year-old.

“It puts the bowlers and batters under more pressure to go for dots and singles or to hit boundaries and sixes.

“For me, it’s a great platform to push on from and say, ‘I’ve done really well in this, I’m ready for other leagues around the world.

“If you’re going around different competitions, you’ll then improve your game at a very fast rate because of the conditions, exposure to different players and coaches.”
