YORKSHIRE continue to struggle in their County Championship match against Sussex at Headingley.

At lunch on day two the visitors are 236-5 in reply to Yorkshire’s first innings 96.

Ed Joyce has 58 and Ben Brown 24 as Yorkshire claimed only two wickets in the session after Sussex resumed on 104-3.

Liam Plunkett had Rory Hamilton-Brown lbw for 26 after an hour’s play, while Azeem Rafiq had Joe Gatting well-caught at wide mid-off off Jack Brooks for 20 from a wild heave.

Yorkshire’s bowling has been inconsistent beneath cloudy skies which are forecast to dispense rain later in the day.
