Yorkshire rocked by Travis Head call-up
The 22-year-old batsman was today selected by his country for the five-match one-day international series in Sri Lanka that runs from August 21-September 4.
Head leaves Yorkshire with immediate effect to train with the Test squad in Colombo prior to the ODI series.

Hide AdThe left-hander was initially omitted from the ODI squad but, after Australia went 2-0 down in the three-Test series, coach Darren Lehmann has drafted him in amid concerns about Australia’s sub-standard displays on the sub-continent.
Lehmann said: “We want Trav to come in for prep (for the third Test). He’s not going to play, there’s no doubt about that.
“We see him as a really exciting young player for the future and want to give him as much experience around our Test group and one-day group as we possibly can.
“We’ve been impressed with him. That’s why he has come in a bit early. He is a young player who has the attributes we think are quite important here.”

Hide AdHead’s call-up rules him out of Thursday’s NatWest T20 Blast quarter-final against Glamorgan at Cardiff, along with the Royal London Cup quarter-final against Kent at Canterbury the following Thursday.
Yorkshire also face a key period of County Championship cricket, with six games still to play - starting with Saturday’s Roses match against Lancashire at Old Trafford.
