Revis, the only Year 7 player in the side, took just 75 balls and 57 minutes to wallop an unbeaten 102 to inspire his side to 167-4.

Revis arrived at Headingley as the name on everyone’s lips having made an unbeaten 100 in an earlier round as part of the highest score of the competition – 191-2 against Parkside. And Ilkley went close to matching that total thanks to swash-buckling Revis who remained firm as top order batsmen James Silson and Oliver Burton were removed for two and five respectively.

Matthew Shepherd and Harrison Wood clean bowled that duo but Ben Patchett and Jake Miller provided more resistance as they added 21 and 17 to the cause. Both were removed by Will Hutchinson, but Patchett and Revis had taken Ilkley from 62-2 to 113-2 with Miller and Revis taking things on to 152-4. Josh Brooks added an unbeaten four as Ilkley ended on 167-4, including 15 extras, from their 20 overs.

Despite a bold attempt, Lady Lumley’s could never quite gain enough momentum in reply despite a decent knock of 35 from Harrison Wood.

Will Hutchinson (14) and Jack Murray (18no) impressed, but Lumley’s ran out of overs rather than wickets.

James Silson took the wickets of both Dan Tomlinson (7) and Tom Fletcher-Varey (0) to end up with the most wickets for Ilkley as Lumley finished on 106-6 from their 20 overs.
