Crystal Palace v Hull City: Fryatt first target for Pearson

Championship: HULL CITY manager Nigel Pearson is expected to target Leicester City striker Matt Fryatt once the protracted takeover by Assem and Ehab Allam is completed.

The local businessmen agreed to buy the Tigers from Russell Bartlett almost a month ago but, as yet, the deal has not gone through.

City's buyout by the Allams was expected to be completed before the weekend but it now seems that early next week is a more realistic date due to the need to thrash out a few of the finer details.

Once it does go through, Pearson will be able to step up his recruitment plans ahead of the transfer window opening in January with both Fryatt and a new wide-man expecting to be high on his shopping list.

The City manager said: "If everything off the field goes according to plan, maybe we can do a bit of wheeling and dealing.

"But we have got to get to January first and look at this next block of games and keep building."
