Cycling club sends in snaps to our growing On Yer Bike! picture appeal
David Todd, a member at Drighlington Bicycle Club, sent a selection of cycling snaps from around the district including at Pen-y-ghent in the Yorkshire Dales, Swaledale, Dentdale and Shibden Wall, in Halifax.
The pictures feature David and Jane Todd’s tandem bicycle, David in action and fellow club member Niki Kimber tackling the Shibden Wall climb during the Ronde Van Calderdale sportive.

We have been urging readers to get cycling in the months building up to the Tour de France Grand Depart from Yorkshire on July 5 and 6, and we want you to join in and show us how you’re embracing the spirit of Le Tour.
Through our interactive On Yer Bike! campaign we are encouraging readers to send in pictures of them getting out and about on two wheels in a bid to both celebrate the world’s greatest cycle race and help inspire others to start cycling.
Whether you’re out exploring the Dales with your family and friends, commuting to work, taking part in a charity ride, cycling in fancy dress or simply nipping out on the bike to get some fresh air, we want to hear from you.

We will publish readers’ On Yer Bike! cycling pictures in-paper and online until Le Tour rolls into action from Leeds’ Headrow for the start of the Leeds to Harrogate stage one on July 5.
To get involved send in your pictures, with a note telling us your name, age, where you are from and where your On Yer Bike! snap was taken, by emailing our Tour reporter at [email protected] or tweeting @jonnybrownyep.
