Delight for Dyson after debut at Hartpury

THE owner of Cyden Dressage Stallions has spoken of her “honour” at seeing her team make their public debut at the prestigious British Stallion Event.

North Lincolnshire-based Lara Dyson proudly watched on as a trio of horses lined up alongside some of the finest in Europe.

Standing at stud for the first time in 2014, the Cyden Dressage Stallions team comprises Cyden Cadans M, Cyden Bodyguard Moorland and Cyden Oostings Amigo.

Dyson said: “The British Stallion Event was a new experience for me and all the Cyden Dressage team.

“But it was one that we all enjoyed enormously and it was an honour to be able to showcase our stallions there to begin their careers as working stallions as well as competing.

“I would like to say thank you to Lynne Crowden for introducing herself to me and thanking me for bringing some fantastic stallions into the UK with such quality breeding and for her kind words of commentary and her acknowledgement of my way of training.

“I was also thrilled that Phoebe Peters agreed to ride Amigo for us here and would like to say a special thank you to Amigo’s regular rider, Liberty Tyler, for agreeing to give up her much loved pony for the day.”

The one-day spectacular at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, allows owners to present their stallions while commentary is provided with a biography of the stallions’ pedigree, competing history and notable progeny.

Meanwhile, 18-year-old Laura Robinson, from Northallerton, has received her British Showjumping Advanced Apprenticeship in Sporting Excellence (AASE).

It was presented by Rob Hoekstra, World Class Showjumping Performance Manager, at Olympia, the London International Horse Show. The AASE has been hugely successful in developing and preparing talented young athletes aged 16-19.

The first group of students are due to finish their programme next month.
