Doncaster Rovers v Derby County: Rovers aim to be razor-sharp at the Rams

Championship: DONCASTER Rovers will take to the field against Derby County sporting a new look in facial hair.

Players and staff at the Championship club are raising money for the NSPCC by imposing a ban on shaving until the end of the month.

Manager Sean O'Driscoll says, however: "I'm thinking of dropping out but I know it will cost me a big fine. I have never 'not shaved' since I have been able to and I just want people to know that I'm not usually this scruffy."

With 11 games to play, Rovers are closer to the play-off zone than the bottom three but O'Driscoll insists that avoiding relegation remains the priority.

"We are not counting our chickens," he said. "You would be crazy to think like that it in this league."

Derby give a debut to goalkeeper David Martin, who joined on a month's loan yesterday from Liverpool.
