Doncaster Rovers v West Bromwich Albion: Ryan calling for extra-time for referees

Championship: DONCASTER ROVERS will be looking to delay West Bromwich Albion's promotion party at the Keepmoat Stadium.

The Baggies will secure an immediate return to the Premier League if they win or third-placed Nottingham Forest lose.

Rovers chairman John Ryan said: "Albion thoroughly deserve promotion but let's hope we keep them waiting for another week. I really admire Albion, as a club, because they play good football and keep their finances in order."

Ryan has written to the FA asking for the age limit on referees to be scrapped.

He claims that 'inexperienced' refereeing denied Rovers three penalties over Easter and, subsquently, ended his club's hopes of play-off qualification.

"When I see point after point chiselled away, not by opponents but by officials, you can see where my frustration lies," he added.
