Doncaster trio row their way to records
ROWING: Three juniors from Doncaster Rowing Club have set new British records for indoor rowing.
The three rowers took part in the Indoor Rowing Series competition organised by British Universities and Colleges Sports (BUCS) in association with British Rowing.
They raced on indoor rowing machines in the 1km event at Sheffield University and Oliver Mackintosh, of Blaxton, broke the British record for men aged under 18; Jessica Donk, of Doncaster, broke the women’s under-18 record and 15-year-old Lucy Haigh, from Westwoodside, set a new record for women in the under-16 category.
