A slick break by Gallagher which led to his own converted try greeted the start of the second half before more pressure led to two yellow cards for Wharfedale.

Another try soon followed before Wharfedale started to gain a foothold in the game. Blackheath lost their composure and had a player sin-binned.

Willett and Howick scored tries and Tom Davidson converted one before Blackheath scored their eighth try when the outstanding Bason raced in from 22 metres.
