Meanwhile, Yorkshire trainer Les Eyre will be aiming to upset the odds in the Summer Stakes at York today with Sandra’s Secret.

She runs in the came colours as Eyre’s 1997 Ebor winner Far Ahead.

Sunpak Racing’s mare won three races on the bounce earlier in the season and Catwick-based Eyre said: “She has been a credit to the yard. She has improved out of all recognition.

“She is a happy little horse and she’s done it all herself, to be truthful. She takes a fair while to get fit – she can be quite stuffy – but once she’s there, she’s there. I don’t do a hell of a lot with her in between racing.”

John Gosden has indicated Cracksman is more likely to have an autumn campaign than run in the King George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot at the end of the month.

The Newmarket trainer is minded to give the three-times Group One winner more time to get over his Royal Ascot exertions, where he finished second in the Prince of Wales’s stakes.
