Ennis left to ponder her Olympic options

World and European champion Jessica Ennis admits she faces a tough decision over her dreams of double Olympic glory.

Barring a dramatic turnaround between now and 2012, Ennis will start as favourite to add the Olympic heptathlon title to her medal collection in London.

The 24-year-old from Sheffield had also hoped to compete in the 100m hurdles on home soil, one of her strongest events. However, with the draft timetable leaving just 36 hours between the end of the heptathlon and the heats of the hurdles, Ennis could turn her attention to the sprint relay instead for the chance of another medal.

Ennis is certainly keen to get everything out of a home Olympics and at the launch of yesterday's Aviva Series, said: "I'll think about it. I'm just really focused on the heptathlon.

"It's a lot of training and I don't want anything to take away from that. I don't want to be distracted in any way but if there is an opportunity to be part of the relay I might give it a go."
