Things looked good as the
11-10 favourite led them into the home straight and appeared to be travelling well for Tony Hamilton, but he had no answers when challenged by Karmadal a furlong out and the latter quickly pulled clear for a convincing victory. His stablemate Thraya Queen (12-1) only beat one rival home in the 32Red Casino Nursery, while Spirit Of Zeb never landed a serious blow when finishing a disappointing eighth in the Daily Price Boosts At Unibet Handicap.

Fahey has three more runners at Wolverhampton this evening and his best chance could be Hutton in the 32Red Jack Hobbs Maiden Stakes.

The Lawman gelding, who has made the frame on both starts to date over seven furlongs at Wolverhampton and Chelmsford, steps up to a mile for the first time and is proven on this Polytrack surface.

His stable companion Cosmic Statesmen is still a maiden but has shown enough to suggest he can go close in the 32Red Casino Handicap and is fit from a couple of placed efforts over hurdles in recent weeks.
